Old Enough for Nostalgia
Toronto Coach TerminalYesterday, I was walking on the Edward Street, and suddenly I saw the Toronto Coach Terminal. It was closed and surrounded by the fences. The news said this place will change into a condo.
When I saw the lanes for buses, I realized that this is the place that my first trip to Waterloo started. I came to Canada in 2019, and I took a Greyhound bus from Toronto to Waterloo with my girlfriend. It was here, the exact place, that started my journey in Canada. I still remember the time when I waited for the bus in the lobby, and queued in line next to the bus. I also remember people stood in front of the desk who were traveling to US by Megabus. My memory has faded, but I think the Uncle Tetsu’s Cheesecake was at downstairs. The last thing I heard was Greyhound Canada was closed during the pandemic, and I changed to GO bus to go to Toronto from Waterloo. Since then I have never been to this terminal again.
After passing by it, I was a little sad that I have already started to have feelings of nostalgia like an old man. Maybe 30 is already an age that you just have enough experience and some of them has started to disappear in this world.
Anyway, it’s better to move forward instead of stucking in the past. I found an interesting activity called “Color Walk”. You can pick a color for the day before leaving home, and take photos of the things you see on your trip with the color you choose. I hope it can help me recover my curiosity and energy.
